How to get there:
Airport: You have Rotterdam-The Hague Airport (RTM) just 8 km away. If you fly to Amsterdam (AMS), the fast train "Intercity Direct" will get you to Rotterdam Central in about 25 minutes.
By public transport: The best option. The metro (lines D and E) stops at the Zuidplein, which is only a few minutes' walk from Ahoy.

The HYROX Format
You already know the recipe for success: 8 km of running combined with 8 functional stations. Ahoy stands out as a world-class venue with towering ceilings and acoustics that will give you goosebumps when the start music hits in the ROXzone. The key here is not to burn out in the early running sections so you arrive at the sleds with energy.
The 8 HYROX Stations
1000 m SkiErg
Keep the "pace." It's the real warm-up—don't lose technique to early nerves.
50 m Sled Push (Sled push)
The Ahoy floor usually has good grip, but don't get complacent. Short steps, low hips, and powerful drive.
50 m Sled Pull (sled pull)
Lean your body weight back. Use it to catch your breath while pulling the rope.
80 m Burpee Broad Jumps
This is where champions are forged. Keep a steady jump and avoid long pauses.
1000 m Rowing (Row)
Pure efficiency. Stabilize your watts and mentally prepare for the second half of the race.
200 m Farmers Carry (Farmer's carry)
Tighten that core! Don't let the weights slip—grip is life at this station.
100 m Sandbag Lunges (sandbag lunges)
Legs will burn, but the finish is close. Keep your chest up and don't let the bag beat you.
100 Wall Balls
The final wall. Hear the crowd roar, find your rhythm, and throw that ball with everything you've got. Glory awaits!
Categories
The event runs over several days to host all divisions: Individual (Open/Pro), Doubles (Men/Women/Mixed), and the brutal relays (Relays). There's room for all levels!
