Attention, regiomontana community and athletes from across Mexico! The roar of the "Sultana del Norte" blends with the sound of the SkiErg. Smart Fit HYROX Monterrey 2026 lands in the heart of Nuevo León on 18 and 19 April. Prepare for the 8 km of running and the 8 stations in a world-class venue, surrounded by the unique energy of northern athletes. It's time to show what you're made of!
Key Event Details

Av. Fundidora 501, Obrera, 64010 Monterrey, N.L., Mexico
Dates:
Saturday 18 and Sunday 19 April 2026
How to get there:
Airport: Monterrey International Airport (MTY) is about 25–30 minutes from the venue. You can take an official taxi or private ride-hailing services directly to the Fundidora area.
By local transport: Cintermex is located within the iconic Parque Fundidora. The "Y Griega" Metro station (Line 1) leaves you a few minutes' walk from the main entrance.
Parking: Cintermex has a large covered parking area and surrounding parking zones within Parque Fundidora. Still, Monterrey is notorious for traffic, so arrive at least 90 minutes early to warm up without rush.
The HYROX Format at Cintermex
Cintermex's venue is known for its large-scale pavilions and high ceilings, which provide excellent ventilation—something you'll appreciate in Monterrey's climate. The running course tends to be flat and very fast, ideal for chasing that PR you've trained for. Watch out for the Sled Push here; the strength level is often very high!
The 8 Stations: Pro Tips
1000 m SkiErg
Keep a sustainable pace. The event has just begun and Monterrey's heat can take its toll early.
50 m Sled Push
Lower your center of gravity. Take advantage of Cintermex's good floor grip to push with the full drive of your lower body.
50 m Sled Pull
Use your body weight. Don't rely only on your arms; brace your core and walk with purpose.
80 m Burpee Broad Jumps
Total concentration. It's a "mental" station. Keep steady jumps and don't stop.
1000 m Rowing
Maximum efficiency. Breathe deep and prepare your legs for the second half of the race.
200 m Farmers Carry
Iron grip. Imagine the weights are extensions of your arms. Take short steps and keep your gaze forward.
100 m Sandbag Lunges
The penultimate obstacle. Keep an upright torso; don't let fatigue bend your back.
100 Wall Balls
The final party! In Monterrey the crowd cheers loudly. Let their energy propel you with every throw.

Nutrition and "Carb-Loading"
You're in the land of carne asada, but save the feast for post-event. The night before opt for complex carbohydrates and maintain steady hydration; Monterrey's dry climate can dehydrate you faster than you think.
