Surely it has happened to you. You start with strength work, your knees need the rigid neoprene compression to move heavy loads, but as soon as the clock moves to the cardio portion, those knees and the knee sleeves you're wearing slow you down.
Most people's solution? Wasting valuable time taking off your shoes, pulling off the maximum-compression knee sleeves, and putting your shoes back on. You break the rhythm, your heart rate drops, and the workout loses effectiveness.
Competitive athletes can't afford that luxury, and those of us who take it seriously often can't either. There is a logistical trick to keep intensity at its peak without compromising protection or speed.
The secret is in NO knee-sleeve changes
Removing a traditional neoprene knee sleeve when your leg is sweaty is a real battle and can take almost longer than the workout itself. The rubber sticks to wet skin, catches on the heel, and forces you to stop for a while.
The solution with VELITES knee sleeves completely changes how you manage them thanks to a combination of technical textiles. Instead of choosing between protection or mobility, they work with the concept of a "system" at the joint.
This is how the VELITES knee sleeve system strategy works in an intense training session:
1. The first layer never moves
At the start of the session, you put on the fabric knee sleeve FLOW (either the 1-Layer or the Double-Layer). Made from a technical elastic fabric of nylon and elastane, it acts like a breathable second skin. It doesn't restrict movement and its double silicone band keeps it fixed in place. This layer stays on from the first minute of the warm-up to the final stretch.
2. The neoprene slides, it doesn't snag
When it's time to enter the strength block and lift heavy weights, you need the mechanical support of the POWER (5 mm or 7 mm). Here's the trick: by sliding the neoprene over the FLOW fabric instead of over sweaty skin, friction drops dramatically. The neoprene slides cleanly over the elastic fabric. You can put on the maximum-support sleeve (POWER) in two seconds, without untying your laces or taking off your shoes.
3. The "ankle anchoring" trick for cardio
What happens when you finish squats and the clock sends you to run or do burpees? Don't take off the POWER sleeve. Its one-piece structure has a flexible system that allows a very simple move: fold the top part down and slide the neoprene sleeve toward the ankle or the lower part of the calf.
By lowering it, the neoprene stays 'parked' comfortably, fully freeing the knee joint so you can run at 100% of your speed. On the knee only the light, fresh FLOW sleeve remains. As soon as you return to the bar, you reverse the move: pull the POWER up over the fabric in one motion and you have maximum support again for heavy lifts.

Keep the focus where it really matters
Modern hybrid training isn't just about being able to lift heavy and run fast, it's about being efficient at managing your energy. Every time you stop to change clothes or gear, you alter the metabolic stimulus you're chasing.
Using the VELITES modular system gives you an invisible competitive advantage:
- You avoid cooling: The joint does not experience abrupt temperature changes between blocks.
- You save mental energy: You don't get distracted from the session wrestling with a piece of rubber stuck to your calf.
- You train under real fatigue: You keep your heart rate high in the strength-to-cardio transition, simulating the exact scenario of a real competition.
Don't let the logistics of your equipment set the pace of your workouts. Use the VELITES knee sleeve system and keep your performance at its maximum from start to finish.
